I love sweet tea. The best sweet tea on earth can be found at Johnny’s BBQ in Keystone Heights, FL. However, since I live in Texas I must consign myself to Chic-fil-A and Red Diamond……has anyone discovered a better tea than these?

Have you ever tried Full Moon BBQ’s (Alabama) sweet tea. Man, I think it is the best sweet tea I’ve ever had.
In the “real” south I was shocked to see that even McDonald’s offers sweet tea.
When I grew up in the “real” South (Georgia, South Carolina, etc.), sweet tea was like mother’s milk and quite common too. When traveling, we could always tell when we had left “the South” when we would ask for sweet tea, and then promptly be given unsweet tea with a packet of Sweet & Low.
Even Texas, with all of its Southern and Cowboy flair, lacks sweet tea as a standard. As mon frere Chad has so pointedly pointed out–sweet tea options in Texas are limited.
I am a huge sweet tea lover as well. McAlister’s Deli has good sweet tea. Raisin Canes has good sweet tea, too (http://www.raisingcanes.com/). I also enjoy making my own.
I love the sweat tea from Chicken Express - and I don’t even like sweat tea, but sometimes I just want Chicken Express for that tea!
Rudy’s BBQ (best tasting and love the food to accompany it) & McAllister’s (32oz of goodness)
I love sweet tea too! Having spent 5 years in North Carolina it is definitely hard to replicate the true “southern style” sweet tea in Texas. However, have you tried Mcalister’s? Unbelievable!
