Police kill bear who happened to be in the same forest as a pregnant woman…what do you think?

Has anyone heard the story that recently happened about a woman who was 5 months pregnant who took a . She encountered a , started walking away and was followed by the . The never chased her, just followed her a while, then lost interest. The woman later ran across a highway and was hit by a woman in a car, who left the scene. The pregnant woman reports the sighting and the is located and killed.

I find it insane that the authorities hunted down this and killed it! What if it has a cub in the woods that’s now motherless?  I think they should’ve left the alone…What do you think?

  1. I think you could go to TodayShow.com and pull up the piece. She was in the woods, saw the bear, the bear followed her and eventually stopped. By that time, she was scared, so she ran to get away, ran across a highway and was struck by a car, who hit her, saw she was okay, then left without leaving her info. She called the authorities, who found the bear and killed it for no reason other than it had followed her. Pretty sad, in my opinion. I can understand if the bear had threatened her in any way, but he didn’t, by her own account.

  2. I don’t know, it doesn’t seem the bear was hostile…just curious and possibly protective of cubs? And why did the woman run across the highway? Was the bear pursuing her more than was stated? So many questions…

  3. If you enter their habitat you should play by appropiate rules of defense.

Stay out of the woods pregnant woman!
