Ending Friendships
April 22nd, 2009 at 7:25 pmSomething I learned, the hard way, after a certain point in life is this. Every single friendship/relationship we have all serve a purpose in molding us into who we are today. If you look back at everyone you’ve ever been close to, you could probably see something in yourself that you took from them. The sad part is that not everyone of those people are still current in your life. Not that it is a bad thing. It’s just a sad thing. I think it’s entirely true that you will be able to count on maybe a handful of friends that you can absolutely call “brother” until you breath your last. Along the way, friendships come and go, they just simply all cannot be deep forever. But the good part is that at one season in your life, you called them a close brother and friend. They in turn took a piece of you with them. There are those certain “enigmas” that for reasons beyond our comprehension, just come to an abrupt halt. God is bigger than that though. He knows the “why” behind that and we can all find a solace in that. Knowing that He is still in control. In college especially, it was almost too easy to maintain a million friends because they were all right there in front of you. Now, it actually takes work, phone calls, emails, scheduling visits and sacrificing other things in life in order to make time. But that’s the beauty in it, you know at the end of the day how valuable that relationship is now because you really have to work at it. Sorry to write a novel there, you just struck a chord that I think we all have gone through. Keep fighting brother.

iPhone
April 6th, 2009 at 7:18 amairmouse is absolutely awesome if you are near your machine, but jaadu is the only app that allows you to be away from your (currently running) machine and have full screen access to anything, even working on spreadsheets or whatever task you need to accomplish, you do need to have your macbook on if you want to access it remotely, not sure if you have mobileme, if not, get it, probably the greatest partnership between iphone and a mac, but there’s an app called mobilefiles that allows access to your docs as well, except, mobileme also allows you to access your docs from any computer in the world
