I loved SlumDog….the funny thing is is that it took me a long time to go see it, because the name itself had no appeal for me. We don’t really use the term “slumdog” here in the States.

Could you be more specific please? What poor where? What is the purpose of simply giving to the poor? Ought not we facilitate rehabilitation and self-sustaining activities? Maybe people would give to your organization if you had clear cut goals and objectives. Why would I want to give to John poor man today, if I know there will be no change in his life and I will be giving to feed John poor man next year?

Most probably we would not be facing some of the economic and social problems we are facing today had not a third of my generation been vacuumed out of their mother’s womb. Maybe the doctor who would have cured Cancer or AIDS and the like has already been aborted. If a wife should have the right to choose, then why don’t we all take our unwanted pets outback and dispose of them whenever we feel like it? Believe you me there would undoubtedly be a public outcry over such a thing. It has always puzzled me how the tree-hugging, save the whale types are the same people who run around with coat hangers killing babies. That sounds like a great bumper sticker to me…save the whales, kill the babies.
